Joseph K. Glassett

Joseph K. Glassett is Treasurer of the Board of the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation. He also serves as the Foundation’s Vice President of Finance, a role he assumed in 2018. In this capacity, Glassett works with the Foundation’s Executive Team to manage the financial operations that support the Foundation’s mission and maximize the impact of its investments and charitable contributions. As the leader of the Foundation’s accounting and finance department, he oversees the management and reporting necessary to ensure fiscal sustainability and regulatory compliance.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Glassett began his career as a Credit Department Banking Associate at United National Bank in Plainfield. It was there he met his wife and partner, Diane, who was also working at the bank.

For thirteen years, Glassett advanced in management at Cosmair, Inc., an international health and beauty aid corporation known for major brands such as Lancôme and L’Oréal. In 1985, Cosmair relocated Glassett to Pomona, California, where he led the West Coast operation center, overseeing customer service, inside sales, credit, and distribution.

In 1993, Glassett joined Kenwood Communications in Long Beach. During his 23-year tenure for the global electronics manufacturer and supplier, Glassett was promoted to Chief Financial Officer for Kenwood USA Corporation, encompassing both the communications and home/car stereo divisions. Glassett also served as the project manager for the 2008 integration of Kenwood Corporation with Victor Company of Japan (JVC) in the United States.

Glassett holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Management from Kean University and an MBA in Finance from National University in San Diego.

In his free time, Joe enjoys attending Firebird games at Acrisure Arena and volunteering with organizations such as the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Palm Springs Short Fest, Modernism Week, and other nonprofits. An avid New York sports fan, he proudly supports the NY Rangers, NY Mets, NY Jets, and NY Knicks.
